A FAMILY RUN PRESCHOOL
At The Bay Preschools, we nurture children’s curiosity and creativity, motivating independence and a lifelong love of learning.
Our curriculum is designed to engage children in meaningful, hands-on experiences that inspire exploration and discovery in a safe, nurturing environment where every child feels a sense of belonging.
We combine the best of a traditional preschool program with the convenience of long day care hours—supporting both children and their families.
The Bay Preschools is family-owned and founded by Laura Rivera, whose 20 years of teaching, in both schools and early childhood settings – as well as her role as a mother - have shaped our vision. With her own children in mind, Laura has created nurturing preschools that prepare children for school and beyond.

Her family is deeply woven into the fabric of our centres: her husband, Bernardo, serves as business manager, her mother is affectionately known as ‘Nana Lou’, and her own children are still growing up, within our community. This family spirit extends to our staff and families, creating a close-knit environment where low staff turnover reflects the warmth and trust of our culture.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Every child is a unique individual, and we are committed to nurturing their holistic development within a Christian framework.
We recognise families as a child’s first and most important teachers. Together, we build strong, positive, and collaborative partnerships between families, children, and educators.
Our educators are at the heart of everything we do. Highly trained and deeply passionate, they bring dedication, warmth, and respect to each relationship, fostering trust and supporting children’s growth.

We are also committed to giving children a clear and respectful understanding of all cultures, including those of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We honour the Cadigal and Cameragal people, the traditional custodians of the land on which our preschools stand.
